Russia hopes to be among global economic leaders by growth in 2023
MOSCOW, May 4 (PRIME) -- Russia will be among the economic growth leaders among the developed states in 2023, Economic Development Minister Maxim Reshetnikov told President Vladimir Putin on Thursday.
"The forecast on our (ministry) stands at 1.2% (gross domestic product (GDP) growth in 2023), but there is one thing here,” Reshetnikov said.
“As far as you know, our forecast is usually corrected upwards from the estimate… This is why I think that we will be among the leaders-developed states by economic growth this year."
The minister also said that small business was a real driver of the Russian economy’s restructuring.
According to Putin, Russia's low state debt as compared with that in other countries was a positive factor.
